The Garments

Reducing environmental impact by just wearing clothes for longer.

By actively choosing to wear clothes for longer, we reduce their carbon, water and waste footprints.

A reduction of 5-10% in environmental impact is achieved by wearing clothes for just 3 months longer.

A 20-30% reduction in environmental impact is achieved by wearing clothe for 9 months longer.

At Ickle Sprites, infant garments are designed to last at least 9 months (3-12 months). Toddler and children garments are designed to last at least 3 years.

sustainability

Small batch, ethical production.

I use GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified organic cotton jersey from Europe.

I dye in small batches using eco friendly, low impact, fabric reactive dyes.

I create each garment using renewable energy in a home setting.

I use recyclable packaging to ensure none of it goes to the landfill.

All excess fabrics are either recycled, made into other garments or items (such as bibs and teddies), or composted.

The Fabrics

Crafted from sustainably grown fibers.

I use GOTS certified organic cotton jersey as base material as a base for all garments. These fabrics are then dyed in small batches using eco friendly, low impact, fabric reactive dyes.
